Calibra has provided calibrations of fuel flow meters for use in headline racing categories around the world since 2014. Our proprietary process features testing in the customer’s fuel of choice, test matrices of up to 30 flow rates and 30 temperatures, generation of look-up tables, and automated test runs. Customers include teams, power unit manufacturers, fuel suppliers, and sanctioning bodies involved in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship™ and World Endurance Championship™ as well as the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship^®.

General Automotive

Calibra is supporting the spread of compact ultrasonic fuel flow measurement technology to the general automotive sector with services tailored to the requirements of major OEMs and test houses tasked with meeting the latest international WLTP and RDE test standards. The company’s test equipment is compatible with fluid temperatures ranging from 0 to 110°C and pressures of 3 to 6 bar. Calibra has also developed specialised expertise in calibrating for ultra-low flows and creating cost-effective test matrices, while the ability to calibrate in any fuel remains a key advantage.

MARINE

As in the motor industry, the marine transportation industry will face demanding new international controls on emissions and fuel economy in the coming years. In the quest to satisfy the evolving MARPOL Annex VI standards, Calibra is ready to help strengthen the accuracy and repeatability of marine fuel flow measurement equipment and processes under both laboratory and field conditions.
